Grace brown's painting JILLA SONGLINES is a black canvas alive with white dots. Each one a sacred step along ancient pathways, the longlines that weave through her land and soul.

Her brother, set out on a journey guided by these invisible threads. His steps tracing the scared routes etched into the land by ancestors long ago. The white dots shimmer like stars, marking his passage through forests and hills, rivers and open skies. Each one a story and a heartbeat where is foot touched the ground. 

As he drew closer, it was as if the land itself whispered him home. When Grace's brother finally arrived, the dots seemed to glow with warmth of the reunion, of family and tradition intwined. Grace's brother helped her complete a few final stages of this painting.
