In Aboriginal culture, Bunjil was one of the main Dreaming Being of south-eastern Australia. My people believe that Bunjil produced the natural features of the landscapes, from the rolling mountains to the peaceful open ranges.
He created the people, animals and plants and he is watching how we respect the land.
What Bunjil teaches us is that it is important that you look after yourself and the other people around you, especially the Elders because Bunjil is watching you.
An easy way to remember Bunjil's rule is to Respect Yourself, Respect Others, Respect the Environment.
